Day 1 -Time to Bring It!

It is Monday morning and it is the first day of my P90X experience! I started of today with my egg whites and plan on working out after work today. I already realize that I have to have my meals planned for each day to save time and ensure that I am getting all of the portions correct. I had been out of town all weekend and did not have time when I got home to prepare meals and plans for the next day, but will start doing that tonight to prepare for tomorrow. Luckily I have my proein powder and canned chicken at work and can get fresh vegetables and fruit from the cafeteria. I will update later tonight with my workout summary...

At work and took 30 minutes at lunch to jump on the eliptical. I sit all day at work, so I wanted to add cardio in at lunch when I can to make up for the fact that I don't get any other exeercise at work. I still have my first P90X workout tonight, which will be the real challenge.

Okay, finished the Chest and Back and Ab Ripper X workouts!! I am glad that I am doing it, but man it is a bit intimidating seeing them crank out 25-30 reps when I can get 5-8 of most. I know it will come in time, but I wish I was in a bit better shape so I could keep up a bit more. I need to stay focused on the exercise and diet and keep pushing myself and it will come in time.

I need to have my diet planned out a bit better for tomororw, because I had just got back in town I did not have time to shop and ended up not eating enough for the day. I went shopping tonight, so I should be prepared for tomorrow. Until then I will sleep well and be up tomorrow pushing play again!

Good luck Mike!
Found your site today looking for other current P90Xers. I'm 6 weeks in and it's been a heck of a ride.
I'm looking forward to reading about your progress!

You'll do great Mike! You'll be in better shape even by the end of the week. The difference between ab ripper x on Friday vs. Monday was huge. I'm about to do chest & back for the 2nd week.

Diet gets easier to follow ocne you learn what meals and portions look like. Be sure your fridge is stocked, and definately don't skimp on calories. Just keep the proportions correct, and don't make any judgements about weight loss or gain until you are done with week one at least.

Have faith and keep pushing play!
