Well I am getting ready to start my P90X journey. I have become lazy and overweight and need to do something to make a change in my life and what better than P90X! I had purchased the program back a few years ago and even spent a great deal of money on additional supplements, power blocks weights, and a chin up bar. I started the program, but like many other things in my life ended up blowing it off a week or so into the program.
I have had success losing weight before, but have done it through extremely drastic means of working out 2-3 times a day, and eating nearly nothing. This is noth the method I want to follow and when I had done so I lost all the muscle that I had spent years building up.
A little bit about me...
I am 35 years old and 6'1" and weigh 210 -ughhh!!! I have struggled with my weight since I was young and it has always been a driving force in my life. Although I have always been very active I have never truly reached my desired body image. I have done a marathon, triathlon, and was biking 50-60 miles a day to work for 5-6 months, but as mentioned I would lose weight, but do to the diet, or starvation mode typically lose all muscle in the process.
I recently came across a journal of previous workouts and diet attempts from nearly 10 years ago and was amazed in the similar feelings that I was having a decade later. I had started programs done well for weeks/months and then fell back into my old habits and stopped logging entries soon there after. Each time I would gain steam and go from hating the way I looked and felt about myself to gaining positive motivation with my progress. At that time I made journal entries that nobody would ever see or read but myself and although it help to motivate me there was never a chance of anyone holding me accountable or for that matter encouraging me. I am not sure how many people will actually view this post, but I hope that people will help me to stay focused and succeed in my journey!
