Day 15 -
I got home from Danville last night and was able to weigh myself.....205! I was very suprised to see that I had dropped that much weight. I had started two weeks ago at about 224, so I was following the diet and exercise fairly well ( I know I can do better), but even so I did not think I would have lost that much without the added cardio that I am able to get at the gym at lunch, or riding to/from work.
This morning I got up late and did not have time to make my eggs/breakfast and my bike had a flat so I took the train in because I had my weekly meeting with Walt. I did do cardio at lunch and we are supposed to play softball tonight if it does not rain. My goal is to be under 200 lbs by next week and never get above 200 lbs again!

Day 12 - June 23, 2008
Day 12
This weekend has been rough, I should actually say that it has not been so much rough as I have not done great in the diet while traveling. I think that the problem was boredom and that I had nothing to do in the Danville, so it resulted in eating. I kept up with the workouts, but I could have definitely done more cardio and hit the workouts harder.
I saw something on tv that had said that humans do not have to eat, which I know that they do but we definitely do not need to have pizza, candy, and the rest of the junk in our diet that we eat on a daily basis. The temptations are hard, but I need to focus on the end result and how I look and feel after I have eaten the junk. A I know that I eat simply out of boredom, because I am not hungry and I have CRAVINGS, not hunger.
Don't quit, lean from you mistakes and keep pushing through it and reach your goal.

June, 19 2009 - Day 9
Today is day 9 and things have been going well. I just completed Plyometrics and yesterday when I did my Chest and Back workout I was able to get a few more reps out of every exercise. The changes are not drastic, but I am still happy with the progess. I am down about 10 lbs, and have been losing steadily. I am not going to try to rush the results and lose the muscle that I am building in the progress.
Today I leave for Danville and I have plalnned out the workouts and meals so that I don't fail while I travel. I hope to be under 210 by the time I get back home. There have been timme where I have wanted to cheat on the diet, or drink over the weekend, but I have stayed strong and plan to go the distance.

Day 1 again, again!
June 11, 2008
I have my diet all set, P90X for my workout, and now it is just up to me. The change is going to take commitment and willpower but I have to do it for my health and for all of the years that I have said I was going to finally get healthy. The diet is going to be the key to my success. I have modified the P90X nutrution plan to fit the foods that I will eat, while still containing the proper number of calories and portions of all of the food groups.
This morning I woke up and had my mushroom, egg white, and low-fat mozzerella omellete. It is a lot to eat and I am hoping that getting in the first big meal of the day will keep me from having the typical cravings I get. Another big change is that I am drinking only water for the next 90 days!! You heard it right, no soda.
My workouts will be at night after work, so I should have no excuse of why I can not fit them in. If I go out of town I will ensure that I either bring the bands, or find a gym that I can go to in the area for the time I am out of town. I am setting myself up for sucess and that way I will definitely have it!

Day 1....AGAIN!!!
May 28, 2008...Day 1 Again.
As the name of the post implies I am starting the P90X challange again today. I woke up and did my Chest and Back workout and I will admit that I was slacking. It was 5 a.m. and I have not been working out too much lately. There was many thoughts of quitting throughout the workout, not because it was so hard, but I think I was just not in the right mindset but I managed to stick it out to the end.
There are so many times in my life that I choose to gice up, or push off starting things for some reason or another. Diets, work, guitar, etc. all with the intention of starting them at a later time...but when is that time? I still don't really play the guitar, I have put off diets time and again, and works outs have been there more than the others I still have more often than not only half assed my workouts since Charlie and I worked out.
Today is a new day, a fresh start! Yes, I did not give 110% tot he workout this morning and I admit it, but rather than use that as just another excuse to push back my program I will use it as motivation to do even better tomorrow and the days and months to come. That way I can say "look back at day 1 and how I only did 10-12 pushups and 3-4 pullups" when I am doing 30-40 and 15-20 of them at that time. Start hinking about taking the first step towards a journey rather than looking at the long road and quitting before you begin!
See you tomorrow.

Day 17 - Plyo
Today went well. I was back full force on my diet, was able to my carido at lunch, walked home from work, and did Plyometrics. Plyo was especially rough last night when I did it. I was sweating something fierce, but hey that means I am doing something. I felt better about getting back into the full swing of things for the second day and wil continue to do so.
I was a bit hard on myself over the little slips, but the important thing is that I stick with this as an overall lifestyle change. I may slip up here and there but unlike the past where I would let that lead me right back into my old habits I am now more aware that a few cheat meals here and there are always better than everyday and every meal being a cheat meal!!!

Day 16 - Chest and Back
I am a day behind in my workout, but will catch up by this weekend. I got myself back on the horse and eating right again this morning. I was in meetings all day long and had food brought in, but managed to refocus myself and eat right. It would have been easy to slip back into my old habits, but I got on the BB message board today and saw all the success and got soem feedback from others who had slipped and told me it was all right.
Did the workout tonight and even after all of the vigor to get back into it I did not feel I had a great workout. I really need to push push push myself to get to the X-treme! In addition I should have done Ab Ripper X and did not do it! I will do it tonight with Melanie, because she like to do that one with me. On a positive note I have lost 16 lbs to date and 3 " from stomach and hips. Only 2 1/2 weeeks in (with my slips) and have made good progress. As long as I stay focused and do not fall off the program I will succeed.
